Frequently asked questions
- Is sales tax charged on the full price?
- In most US states, the trade-in value is subtracted before tax, so you only pay sales tax on the difference. The calculator does this by default.
- Should I roll fees into the loan?
- You can, but financing fees means paying interest on them too. Paying fees up front keeps the loan smaller and the total cost lower.
- How does the loan term change the payment?
- A longer term lowers the monthly payment but raises total interest. A shorter term costs more per month but far less overall.
- Is this financial advice?
- No. These are estimates to help you plan and compare options. Your real figures depend on your lender, taxes and personal situation, so check with a qualified professional before deciding.
